Al Marzouqi competes with “Knights of the World” for “Best Rising Star”


The International Equestrian Federation announced the list of candidates to win the Best “Rising Star” award for the year 2024 from all over the world, led by Emirati show jumping champion Omar Abdulaziz Al Marzouqi.

The voting process to select the winners began on October 3, and will conclude next Sunday, in preparation for approving the results and announcing the winner on November 13.

Al Marzouqi (21 years old) is the first Emirati jockey to compete for this international award in the age group between 14 and 21 years, following great successes he achieved at the international level, the most recent of which was his victory on the horse of “Injoy de la Mior” in the stallion championship race, within the World Championship for Young Horses competitions. 5, 6 and 7 year olds in Belgium last month.

Al Marzouqi also achieved many international achievements, most notably silver at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Argentina, and silver and bronze for individuals and teams in the 19th edition of the Asian Games.
