The organizing committee for the locking race for the long distances, from Sir Boner Island to the shores of Dubai, which is devoted to local sailing ships 60 feet, began preparations for the success of the 34th edition of the upcoming event, which will be determined by the date of the case of the sea and wind speeds in the coming days, to be held at the end of this month or in the first half of next May.
The Organizing Committee held the general meeting to discuss the requirements and equipment for the race with strategic partners who support the success of the event, in the presence of the members of the Supreme Organizing Committee, Khaled bin Dasmal and Muhammad Al -Falahi, Executive Director of Dubai International Marine Sports Club, as well as representatives of departments, government agencies and national institutions.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al -Falahi conveyed the greetings of the president and members of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the race to the partners who contribute to organizing the upcoming event, indicating that the organizing committee is keen on making the race to make a traditional carnival that combines various segments of society, in which they recover the giving of parents and grandparents, so that the event is a different and distinctive version of the previous.
Al -Falahi said during the meeting that “the organizing committee is always seeking to highlight the event and present distinguished activities,” explaining that “the work is not limited to maritime operations and securing the raceback line along 50 nautical miles from the start line on Sir Bounair Island and until the finish line off the beaches of Jumei Umm Suqim.
The Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club stressed that “the organizing committee is studying the best conditions for the establishment of the race, by securing the safety of the participants in moving to Sir Boner Island smoothly before the race, and returning from there easily to the finish line at the time of the race in coordination with partners and shareholders.”
Representatives of the General Command of Dubai Police from the Ports Police Station, the General Administration for Security of the Bodies, Establishments and Emergency, Events and Air Pavilion and the Sports Council, the General Command of Sharjah Police, the National Guard Command (Fourth Squadron), the General Administration of Civil Defense in Dubai, and the Dubai Ambulance Foundation, B & or Marinase.
The meeting also discussed the points of joint preparations with the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai, the Municipality of Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, the Dubai Media Corporation (Dubai Sports Channels), the Ports and Customs Corporation, the Free Zone, the Dubai Maritime Authority, the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai (Dubai Events Schedule), the Environment and Natural Reserves in Sharjah, the Emirates Foundation, IP for Medical Services, BHI Advertising and Group Leeds Consulting, Baddad and Platinum Yacht Services and Senyar Museum.
