The National Olympic Committee, headed by Counselor Omar Miran, and the membership of Counselor Hassan Ali Al Marzouqi and Counselor Mohammed Al -Maamari, announced the procedures for the election of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee.

This came during the press conference held by the electoral committee yesterday, in Dubai, in the presence of the various media.

Counselor Omar Miran started his speech by confirming the commitment of the electoral committee to apply all the principles of independence and transparency in all aspects related to the tasks of its work, by simply assigned it to manage the electoral process to the seat of the head of the National Olympic Committee.

Counselor Omar Miran explained that the stages of electoral procedures on the seat of the Chairman of the National Olympic Committee began after the Board of Directors of the National Olympic Committee thanked His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the former president of the committee, for his leadership of the National Olympic Movement from 2009 to 2025 To be opened for a five -day candidacy for the position of president, according to the statute of the committee and election regulations approved by the Board of Directors.

Miran pointed out that the electoral committee announced, after the end of the specified legal deadline, that the door for candidacy was closed on the seat of the Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, on the first of this February, and announced the candidacy of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to the president’s seat, to be officially announced. His Highness elected head of the National Olympic Committee.

The Chairman of the Electoral Committee of the National Olympic Committee revealed the date of the regular meeting of the General Assembly of the Committee, which includes the election of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Olympic Committee, as the meeting will be held, on March 26, in Dubai in accordance with the provisions of the statute of the committee.
