The Ministry of Education signed a memorandum of understanding with Burjeel Holding, aiming to provide the Ministry’s employees and their first-degree families with special offers on health care services, in addition to providing the necessary health and treatment services and vaccinations for students from various educational levels.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding was attended by the Minister of Education, Sarah Al Amiri, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Engineer Muhammad Al-Qassim, and the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Burjeel Holding, Dr. Shamsher Vayalil. The memorandum of understanding was signed by Sheikha Kholoud Al Qasimi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Ministry’s Oversight Sector, and John Sunil, CEO of Burjeel Holding Group, at the Ministry of Education’s headquarters in Dubai, in the presence of a number of senior officials from both parties.
The Ministry of Education said, in a press statement yesterday, that Burjeel Hospitals will work, in accordance with the memorandum of understanding, to circulate the “Examine” initiative for comprehensive periodic health tests aimed at early detection and prevention of chronic diseases, to include the Ministry’s employees and their families, in addition to providing fitness checks. And the necessary vaccinations for all school students in the country.
The statement added that the agreement includes Burjeel Hospitals providing many benefits to the ministry’s employees, including discounts on all uninsured medical services for employees and their families in all Burjeel hospitals in the country, and ensuring that they benefit from the elite service to speed up procedures. Burjeel Hospitals will also designate a helpline. For Ministry employees, it works around the clock, organizing free monthly campaigns and live or virtual lectures in the areas of quality of life, mental and physical health, in addition to discounts on home care services.
For his part, Engineer Muhammad Al-Qassim stressed that the Ministry is working to improve the quality of life of its students and employees, through cooperation with all concerned parties, in a way that reflects positively on the national educational process, pointing out the Ministry’s keenness to provide all aspects of support to those concerned, in a way that contributes to enhancing the integration of The national educational system in all its dimensions.
He explained that providing a healthy educational environment is one of the Ministry’s priorities, and one of its most important goals, based on its firm responsibility towards its educational staff and students, noting that this agreement supports, in one of its aspects, the efforts of the UAE and its endeavor to provide advanced health and medical services that serve all members of society, in order to achieve The state’s vision is to promote the principle of sustainability in various sectors.
