Cooperation to develop water desalination research and technologies


The Research and Development Center of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, in cooperation with Khalifa University of Science and Technology, organized an intensive workshop to review the two parties’ pioneering research and applied experience in the field of water desalination and managing water networks in sustainable and highly efficient ways. An elite group of researchers, university professors and experts highlighted the latest technologies and advanced research in the field of the close relationship between water and energy, the use of renewable energy, and reverse osmosis technology in water desalination, which contributes to enhancing the efficiency of the water sector and reducing carbon emissions. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said: “We are keen to increase the production capacity of water desalination, using the latest and most efficient technologies.”
