It works with natural gas in residential towers, instead of electric heaters, pointing out that 30% of Sharjah city buildings have been transferred to electrical heaters to work with natural gas instead of electricity.
She explained that the authority initially tried the project on a 25 -storey commercial tower, after conducting the necessary study, with the aim of completely dispensing with the use of electric heaters, which contributes to providing energy, rationalizing consumption and preserving the environment. A central “boiler” delivery project was also implemented with high efficiency with natural gas in the educational hospital, affiliated to the University of Sharjah, and replaced all electrical heaters, which led to the provision of a large part of the energy.
She added that replacing electrical heaters with natural gas boilers reduces expenditures on consumers, adding that the authority offers consumers to convert their electrical heaters into natural gas boilers to provide consumption, and whoever wishes to do so is installed for him.
She stated that replacing boilers in buildings under construction is better and easier than in manned buildings, as it provides the cost of switching from electricity to gas.
Bin Hada explained that the administration has future plans to expand natural gas services in the emirate, as it seeks to operate all the laundries of cars and mills in the emirate with gas instead of electricity, as well as making gas pumps for mills instead of electricity consumption.
She emphasized that the authority launched, in cooperation with the Emirates Mineral Industries Company (Emic), the project of converting mechanical vehicles, “spiny cranes”, which works in oil or liquefied gas, to work with compressed natural gas, in addition to installing a highly special mobilization station for vehicles at work sites, at the headquarters of the company “Emic” In the emirate.
