The Dubai Land Department organized the Real Estate Policy Lab, with the aim of discussing and developing four main policies in the sector, which are: the real estate alliances policy, the flexibility and sustainability policy, the real estate reputation policy, and the data sharing and dissemination policy, which are consistent with efforts to achieve the ambitious goals of the real estate sector strategy 2033. The Director General of the Department, Engineer Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, stressed the importance of such events in providing a future roadmap that contributes to developing and supporting governance and sustainable development witnessed by the real estate sector in Dubai.
The event witnessed the participation of a number of executive directors and department directors in the department, along with more than 100 people representing real estate development companies, brokerage, management companies, and others. The Director of the Real Estate Policy and Innovation Department at Dubai Land Department, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Borai, provided an overview of the four policies, pointing out The importance of each policy and its main objectives to enable the real estate sector in Dubai and achieve sustainable and comprehensive development.
Al-Borai explained that the real estate alliances policy aims to strengthen strategic relations and cooperation with various stakeholders in the real estate sector, to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of the real estate market in Dubai, and to achieve comprehensive development that keeps pace with the emirate’s vision.
He also reviewed the resilience and sustainability policy that seeks to enhance the real estate sector’s ability to adapt to economic, environmental and social changes, in addition to responding flexibly to challenges, crises and disasters, with its focus on adopting sustainable practices and adopting high-quality construction standards in real estate projects.
Al-Borai referred to the real estate reputation policy aimed at consolidating the reputation of the Emirate of Dubai as a distinguished real estate destination, and increasing the attractiveness and competitiveness of its real estate market, in cooperation with strategic partners in the sector.
He highlighted the data sharing and dissemination policy that focuses on enhancing transparency and security in exchanging data between the Land Department and partners, in accordance with the laws of data sharing and dissemination in the Emirate of Dubai, in addition to encouraging innovation in the use and transfer of real estate data.
The event hosted a number of real estate experts in brainstorming sessions to develop the four draft policies, discuss the mechanisms for their implementation and the role of the private sector in that, and present a set of visions, ideas and solutions aimed at developing these real estate policies.
