Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has successfully renewed its certification for the Global Standard for Anti-Bribery Management System, following comprehensive auditing procedures by Bureau Veritas, the world’s leading conformity assessment and certification company.
The MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, received the certificate at DEWA’s headquarters.
Al Tayer stressed in a statement yesterday that renewing the accreditation of the Global Standard for Anti-Bribery Management System confirms the effectiveness of the governance model at DEWA, and its excellence in employing the latest innovative digital technologies that enhance transparency, integrity and fair practices, in addition to the Authority’s commitment to applying the best international practices in internal auditing operations.
“Our model of good governance is based on trust, transparency, accountability, and fair practices within the framework of the laws in force in the UAE and the Dubai Government, and the requirements of the Securities and Commodities Authority and the Dubai Financial Market, in addition to the Authority’s internal policies and regulations that comply with the highest standards of integrity within a comprehensive system of integrated institutional work that includes effective procedures to prevent and combat bribery, and zero tolerance for any fraud or corruption, in accordance with the best practices and procedures, and the rules and provisions of professional conduct and work ethics applied in the Authority, which has become, thanks to its distinguished performance and outstanding achievements, a benchmark for service institutions, as it ranks first globally in more than 10 key performance indicators in its areas of work,” he said.
