DMCC Cyber launched as part of DMCC Tech to strengthen UAE cyber resilience
DMCC launches DMCC Cyber within DMCC Tech, bringing 200+ cybersecurity firms into a 4,000-strong tech community to strengthen UAE digital infrastructure.
Dubai’s Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has launched “DMCC Cyber,” a specialised cybersecurity ecosystem nested under the newly formalised DMCC Tech platform. The move places cybersecurity at the centre of DMCC’s expanding technology strategy and responds to a growing community of more than 4,000 technology companies within the free zone. DMCC Cyber will serve companies working on cyber resilience, digital trust, data protection, identity, governance, risk and compliance, joining existing and planned tech hubs under the DMCC Tech umbrella.
DMCC launches DMCC Cyber under DMCC Tech
DMCC announced the creation of DMCC Cyber as an industry-focused system for firms operating in cybersecurity and related disciplines. The new ecosystem is part of DMCC Tech, a technology umbrella designed to gather specialised centres and communities that drive the digital economy within the free zone. DMCC Cyber officially complements other verticals intended to help technology companies establish, connect and scale from Dubai to international markets.
Tech community in DMCC surpasses 4,000 companies
DMCC said the launch comes as the number of technology companies within its jurisdiction tops 4,000, making technology the largest and fastest-growing sector in the free zone. That expansion has prompted DMCC to build more specialised platforms to meet the needs of niche and emerging technology segments. By grouping specialist communities, the authority aims to accelerate collaboration and matchmaking between innovators, service providers and investors.
DMCC Cyber’s scope covers resilience, trust and compliance
The DMCC Cyber ecosystem is designed to serve a broad range of cyber-related capabilities, from operational resilience to governance and regulatory compliance. It will provide a framework for companies offering data protection, identity services, threat detection, and risk management to interact and form partnerships. The platform is intended to raise the readiness of digital infrastructure that underpins commercial activity, recognising that cybersecurity is integral to enabling secure digital trade and services.
Membership includes major global cybersecurity and tech firms
DMCC Tech already lists a mix of international companies among its members, and DMCC Cyber will leverage that connectivity to build a dense industry network. Recognised global firms such as CrowdStrike, PwC and FPT Software are among those operating within the platform, illustrating the breadth and international reach of the DMCC technology community. DMCC says DMCC Cyber encompasses more than 200 specialist cybersecurity companies, which will have direct access to the wider business community in the free zone.
DMCC Tech links to AI, crypto, gaming and future quantum hub
DMCC Cyber joins DMCC’s other specialised centres — including an AI centre, a crypto centre and a gaming hub — with plans to add a quantum centre in the future. The DMCC Tech platform therefore spans a wide set of the digital economy’s building blocks, offering companies sector-specific channels for innovation and commercialisation. DMCC positions these hubs as gateways between specialist technology ecosystems and a broader member base of more than 26,000 companies in trade, finance, commodities and emerging tech.
Platform aims to secure critical digital infrastructure
Leaders at DMCC have framed the new cyber ecosystem as an essential element for the safe development of digital services and emerging technologies. As applications ranging from satellite services to fintech and logistics increasingly rely on interconnected digital systems, DMCC Cyber is intended to provide the tools and partnerships needed to protect those systems. The platform’s emphasis on standards, governance and risk management reflects an expectation that robust cyber capabilities will be a competitive enabler for companies choosing Dubai as a regional base.
DMCC said the integrated approach of DMCC Tech and DMCC Cyber will make it easier for technology firms to establish operations, collaborate with peers and scale internationally while remaining connected to one of the world’s most active business communities. This model aims to combine sector depth with cross-industry links, supporting both specialist cybersecurity firms and the broader corporate ecosystem that depends on secure digital infrastructure.
