DP World launches first multi-client third-party logistics warehouse in Riyadh

DP World Riyadh logistics warehouse opens in Al-Sulay to expand Saudi storage and distribution

DP World Riyadh logistics warehouse opens in Al-Sulay: 15,250 sqm, 17,000 pallet slots and scalable storage to accelerate distribution in Saudi Arabia.

DP World has launched its first multi-client logistics warehouse in Saudi Arabia, opening a 15,250 square metre facility in the Al‑Musha’il area of Al Sulay, south Riyadh. The DP World Riyadh logistics warehouse offers more than 17,000 pallet positions and scalable inventory management and distribution services for fast‑growing consumer and industrial sectors. The facility will operate as a single‑provider hub for third‑party warehousing, supporting retail, manufacturing, automotive and e‑commerce customers.

Facility specifications and core services

The Riyadh site spans 15,250 square metres and provides over 17,000 pallet slots to accommodate varied cargo types. Services include storage, inventory management, inbound consolidation, and distribution, with configurable areas for temperature‑controlled needs. The warehouse is designed to scale with client demand and to support order fulfilment efficiency for both domestic and regional flows.

Location and transport connectivity

Located in Al‑Musha’il in the Al Sulay district south of Riyadh, the warehouse offers direct access to major transport corridors linking the kingdom and the wider GCC. Its strategic siting reduces inland transit times and enables faster last‑mile deliveries into the domestic market. Because the site is a non‑bonded warehouse, customs‑cleared goods can be moved directly into local distribution channels, shortening delivery windows and improving stock availability.

Strategic role for Saudi supply chains

The opening comes as Saudi Arabia accelerates investment in supply chain infrastructure under Vision 2030, increasing demand for modern warehousing and logistics solutions. DP World says the facility responds to rising requirements from retailers, manufacturers and online sellers seeking flexible storage and distribution. The warehouse aims to give firms greater inventory visibility and responsiveness to market swings, helping reduce lead times for consumers and businesses alike.

Regional integration with DP World operations

DP World has positioned the Riyadh facility as part of a national logistics network connected to its existing operations in Dammam and port investments across the kingdom. The company’s broader Saudi projects include expansions at the southern container terminal in Jeddah and a previously announced $250 million Jeddah logistics complex spanning 415,000 square metres. The new Riyadh warehouse will support cargo flows between the UAE, Saudi Arabia and global markets through integrated port, road and storage services.

Executive perspectives and business objectives

DP World Saudi’s chief executive, Mohammed Al‑Sheikh, described the warehouse as a response to the need for greater supply‑chain flexibility, visibility and speed. He said the facility allows customers to scale storage and distribution when required, improve stock management and accelerate order execution. Ravin Giuliani, chief executive of logistics operations for the GCC, noted that Saudi Arabia is one of the region’s fastest‑growing logistics markets and that customers increasingly seek partners able to link storage, transport and port services within a single network.

Target sectors and specialised capabilities

The Riyadh warehouse was configured to support consumer goods, industrial products, automotive parts, retail and technology sectors. In addition to general palletised storage, the site can be adapted to provide controlled‑temperature areas to meet food, pharmaceutical or sensitive electronics requirements. The mix of services — from consolidation of inbound shipments to local distribution — is aimed at reducing handling steps and improving supply chain predictability for companies operating in the kingdom.

DP World’s expansion in Saudi Arabia reflects a wider trend of private investment in logistics capacity to meet the kingdom’s industrialisation and e‑commerce growth. By offering multi‑client warehousing close to major highways and integrated with port and road networks, the company expects to support faster inventory turnover and improved service levels for regional shippers.

The new Riyadh warehouse is intended to strengthen DP World’s ability to serve customers across Saudi Arabia and to contribute to trade facilitation and economic growth. As firms scale operations and integrate regional supply chains, the facility will act as a central node for storage and distribution that links local markets with Gulf and international routes.
