“Dua” seeks to become the first global service entity based on artificial intelligence


The Managing Director, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, launched a strategic road map aimed at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority “Dua” becomes the first service institution based on artificial intelligence in the world, by integrating artificial intelligence technologies in all its basic operations.

This came during the effectiveness of the “Treat AI Week”, which was organized by the authority to discuss the transformation based on artificial intelligence and its applications, with the participation of a group of experts and specialists from the authority and from the leading international companies in the field of artificial intelligence.

The authority reviewed its strategy for digital transformation by relying on artificial intelligence, with a focus on raising productivity, enhancing decision -making, simplifying administrative procedures, and developing innovative services that meet the needs of those concerned.

“We are pleased to launch the strategic road map that will enable the authority to become the first service institution in the world based on artificial intelligence,” Al -Tayer said.

He added: «This initiative guarantees our accompanying digital developments and global transformations and opening new horizons for sustainable growth in the energy and water sectors, where the road map aims to integrate artificial intelligence technologies in all operational and service processes in a way that enhances productivity and efficiency, and supports innovation and creativity, in line with the Emirates National AI strategy 2031, which aims to turn the UAE into a world leading country in the field of Artificial intelligence by investing in individuals and sectors that are essential for our success. ”

Al -Tayer affirmed the authority’s keenness to enhance the integration of artificial intelligence technologies and enable its cadres with the latest tools necessary to keep pace with the accelerated developments in this field.

He pointed out that through strategic partnerships with major international technical companies, the authority aims to provide advanced training programs for its employees to be aware of the latest developments in various technologies of the fourth industrial revolution, in a way that contributes to improving performance and increasing productivity and efficiency.

The exhibition associated with the Instelligence Week highlighted the success of the authority in the field of artificial intelligence, which is the cornerstone of its transformation into an artificial intelligence institution. These achievements include the “Ramas at Labor” platform that supports a wide range of services.

The authority also succeeded in implementing improvements supported by artificial intelligence in the “your services” electronic portal for employees, the Information Technology Support Office, Governance and Compliance procedures, and electronic security policies.
