Dubai continues to consolidate its position as a global aviation center


His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Supreme President of “Fly Dubai”, inspected yesterday the progress of work at the Fly Dubai Training Center, expected to be opened in the coming weeks.

Flydubai said in a statement that His Highness toured the center, where he was briefed on the FFS and training facilities.

The tour also included a visit to the briefing rooms, classrooms, high -tech training rooms, in addition to reviewing full Boeing 737.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said: “I am pleased to see the new (flydubai Dubai) training center for pilots, it has become a realistic fact today, as the pilot training center is a vital part of the growth strategy (flydubai), and reflects its steadfast commitment to innovation, operational efficiency and excellence.” .

His Highness added: “This investment will contribute to our internal capabilities by enhancing operational efficiency and cost, and supporting future ambitions, while the carrier continues to develop pilot training units and programs, to enhance Dubai’s position as a global axis of aviation.”

In a post published by His Highness on his account on the “X” platform, yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed stressed that “Dubai continues to establish its position as a leading global center in the aviation sector, in order to enhance its pivotal role on the international scene.”

The cost of the new pilots training and simulator of flying is millions of dollars, and it extends over an area of ​​up to 38 thousand square feet, and provides more than 43 thousand hours of training annually, and two flight simulations were installed, while two other devices are to be added to the facility before the end of a year 2026, in addition to two other pilot training devices.

The new facility includes six similar flights to meet the Tanker training needs and its growing fleet.

It is noteworthy that the architectural design of the building provides greater flexibility for future expansion.
