Dubai Financial Index jumps to the highest level since August 2008


The general index of the Dubai Financial Market increased by the end of yesterday’s trading, 0.39% to 5382.85 points, to come up and reach the highest level since August 2008, with liquidity levels reaching 962.2 million dirhams.

Dubai Financial has enhanced its gains from the beginning of 2025 until the end of yesterday’s trading, winning about 39.87 billion dirhams, as the market capital of the shares listed increased from 906.905 billion dirhams at the end of the last sessions in 2024, to more than 946.775 billion dirhams at the end of yesterday’s session.

Since the beginning of this year, the market index jumped by 4.34%, up from the level of 5158 points at the end of last year to the level of 5382.85 points yesterday, approaching the reach of the standard level of 5400 points.

According to the Dubai Financial data, the outcome of the purchase of foreign investors’ transactions amounted to about 745 million dirhams, after purchases of 11.912 billion dirhams, and sales of 11.167 billion dirhams.

The value of the sales of citizens from shares in the Dubai Financial Market amounted to 10.972 billion dirhams, compared to purchases of 10.266 billion dirhams, to be the result “sale” at a value of 7.6 million dirhams.

The institutions also went for sale with a total value of about 11.658 billion dirhams, in exchange for purchases of 11.495 billion dirhams, so that the net institutional investment is about 163 million dirhams as a “sale” outcome.

The value of individuals sales amounted to about 7.388 billion dirhams, compared to purchases of 7.196 billion dirhams, to be the result of “sale” of about 192 million dirhams.
