Dubai International is preparing to receive 3.6 million passengers during the Eid Al -Fitr holiday


Dubai International Airport is preparing for an exceptional holiday season with expectations for the reception of its various buildings more than 3.6 million passengers during the peak in the Eid period, from March 26 to the seventh of next April, where it is expected that the fifth Saturday of April will be the most crowded during this period with the reception of 309 thousand guests.

In a statement yesterday, the Dubai Airports Foundation estimated that the total number of passengers per day will reach 276 thousand guests on average, with estimates to record the largest rise in the first week of April, and expectations indicate that the number of flights departed during the Eid week increased by 19%, compared to the average weekly flight sizes, during the past month, which reflects a significant seasonal increase.

Dubai Airports pointed out that with the start of the spring school holiday, the demand remains strong on the main markets for the purposes of visiting friends and relatives, including India, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom, as well as a noticeable increase in entertainment travel, and this includes an increase in travel to Sri Lanka, Turkey, and Italy.

As part of its efforts to enhance the smoothness of flights during peak seasons, Dubai airports called on the guests to use the “DXB Express Maps” maps that were recently launched, a smart tool that provides the ability to move in all airport buildings.

She explained that by wiping the fast response icon shown on the information screen of any portal location journey, browsing a full set of restaurants and shops or finding nearby facilities easily.

Dubai Airports confirmed that they are also preparing to provide reinforced services to people of determination through clear and clearly defined paths, as well as providing support to guests who wear a “sunflower” necklace through trained employees who wear “sunflower” pins, and a travel hall for people with special needs in Building No. (2).

Dubai Airports indicated that they are working in cooperation with airlines, service partners, commercial partners and government agencies to ensure the flow of guests’ flow through all the contact points throughout the holiday period.
