The report, which monitors the largest airport performance around the world, showed that Dubai International Airport came first, by a large difference of about 13 million passengers, compared to its counterpart, “London Heathrow”, which secondly ranked about 79 million passengers, followed by the South Korean airport by about 70 million passengers, then Singapore and Amsterdam in the fourth and fifth places with about 67 and 66.8 million passengers each.
In the total index of the movement of passengers (international and local travelers), Hartfield Jackson Atlanta Airport maintained its lead with 108 million passengers, followed by Dubai International Airport and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in the second and third place For each of them, respectively.

The Council explained that in the year 2025 it is expected that the number of global travelers is expected to reach 9.9 billion passengers with an annual growth rate of 4.8%, while the main challenges are expected, such as economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and the increasing path of industry.
He added that the sizes of air freight in the 10 largest airports, which represent approximately 26% (32.3 million metric tons) of the global shipping volume in 2024, increased by 9.3% last year on an annual basis, an increase of 9.5% compared to the results of 2019 (29.5 million tons in 2019), pointing out that the air freight traffic is more concentrated among the main airports.
He indicated that this rise in the volume of shipping is mainly due to the strong demand for e -commerce, marine freight disturbances, and decrease in aircraft fuel.
