Dubai International tops 10 million seats in April

This increase in the seat capacity at Dubai International Airport comes with the airport attracting new airlines, opening more destinations, as well as operating additional flights to existing destinations, after he recorded a strong international traffic performance over the year 2024.

Internationally, Heathro London Airport ranked second with about 4.1 million seats, followed by Singapore Airport with 3.5 million seats, Amsterdam in fourth place with about 3.4 million seats, and Seoul International Airport is about 3.3 million seats.

Dubai Airport continued its strong performance, to be ranked second in the world in the total seat capacity on “international and local” flights together, after the American “Hartfield Atlanta” airport, which recorded about 5.19 million seats during April, and Tokyo Hanida airport in third place with about 4.5 million seats, London Heathrow fourth with about 4.3 million seats, and Istanbul in fifth place with about 4.2 million seats.

Dubai International Airport established a new standard in the global aviation sector, after receiving 92.3 million passengers in 2024, which is the highest annual traffic movement ever in the history of the airport.

This achievement exceeds the previous record of 89.1 million passengers that was achieved in 2018.

It is noteworthy that Dubai International Airport runs flights to 272 destinations in 107 countries, served by 106 international airlines.
