Jabal Ali Javza’s Free Zone announced a strategic partnership with the leading Indian Global Brand in the field of food, “Halderem Sweets”, to create one of the largest facilities for saffron treatment in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Javza said in a statement that the facility will be operated, to be opened in March 2025, by the company, “Kisar Experm & Bakars”, which specializes in treating high -quality saffron with 22 years of experience in India. The facility will obtain the European Food Safety Management Certificate (BRCGS), recognized globally, to ensure the highest quality and purity standards of productive saffron. In its first stage, the facility aims to address 30 metric tons of saffron, with plans to increase production to 100 metric tons during the next five years, by taking advantage of the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the UAE and India, in addition to the advanced infrastructure and global connection provided by both Javza »Jebel Ali Port. The two parties also discussed the opportunities for future cooperation to expand the presence of “Haldem Sweets” in Dubai, and to increase investment in food processing and distribution facilities. This agreement reflects the role of Dubai as a leading global commercial center, and enhances the growth of the food and beverage sector in Javza, which currently includes more than 770 companies specialized in this field.
