Dubai Police and Dubai Sports inspect the readiness of stadiums and facilities


Teams from the Dubai Police General Command and the Dubai Sports Council conducted the security inspection tour, which is organized annually before the start of the sports season, to ensure the readiness of facilities in Dubai clubs to host the 2024-2025 sports season competitions for all sports, ensuring the safety and happiness of athletes and the public, and the smoothness of entry, exit and access to all sports facilities in Dubai clubs.

A press release from the Dubai Sports Council stated: “The first day of the tour included visiting the sports facilities of the clubs: Al Nasr, Shabab Al Ahli, and Al Wasl. The visit will continue on the second day by inspecting the facilities of the Dubai Marine Sports Club, Hatta Club, Dubai Club for People of Determination, Dubai Chess Club, and Hamdan Sports Complex.”

The statement said: “The inspection tour includes meeting with the general coordinators in the clubs, security directors, heads of activities and protocol departments, and managers of stadiums and halls in the clubs, as well as touring the sports facilities, to check the readiness of the football stadium and sports halls in the clubs, and to ensure the readiness of: operations rooms, police and security offices, stands, public entrances, emergency exits, evacuation area locations, entrances and locations for people of determination, linking cameras with the operations room, and all other requirements related to security and safety in clubs and sports facilities.”

The Dubai Police teams were headed by the Acting Director of the Emergency Department, Colonel Khamis Ali Al Shamsi, and included liaison officers and employees working in the Dubai Police, while the Dubai Sports Council teams were headed by the Acting Director of the Sports Development Department at the Dubai Sports Council, Adel Al Bannai, and included a number of employees in the Council.

The inspection tour comes within the ongoing efforts of the Dubai Police General Command and the Dubai Sports Council to ensure the full readiness of sports facilities according to the highest quality standards, as well as ensuring the provision of all means for the safety and happiness of athletes and the public and the civilized appearance that distinguishes sports stadiums in Dubai. These efforts also include holding numerous workshops and forums related to stadium security. The visits also come within the framework of continuous development and raising the readiness of clubs and sports facilities to host and organize all local and international sports activities in various games and events, as the two parties work to consolidate the concepts of community partnership for the safety and happiness of the public and to spread the principles of sportsmanship, reflecting the prestigious position of the UAE among the countries of the world.
