Dubai Roads and Transport Authority confirmed that there are no changes in the tariffs of free vehicles on Friday in Dubai parking, while traffic fees on the Salik Gate on the Al Maktoum Bridge have become free on Sundays instead of Friday.

The authority explained to «Emirates Today» that changing the parking tariff fees is linked to the issuance of a legislative decision in relation to the payment of the graphics fees for the Salik Gate on the Al Maktoum Bridge in its work times, which is finally decided to change in line with the dates of the new weekly holiday, so that the floating bridge is closed on Sunday instead From Friday.

The crossing system (Salik) defines as an electronic system that operates automatically, allowing driving without stopping at any barriers, or at fees payment stations, or at gates on the fast Dubai roads with the aim of paying the tariff, and the system is currently consisting of eight gates, including the gateway to the Observatory , The gate of Al Maktoum, the gate of Al -Safa, the airport tunnel gate, the gate of Al -Barsha, the Gate of Jabal Ali, the Al -Mamzar Gate, north, and the gate of Al -Mamzar south.
