“Dubai South” attracts 415 new companies in 2024


Dubai South, the largest urban development project that focuses on aviation, logistics and real estate services, attracted 415 new companies during the year 2024, bringing the total number of companies operating in the region 4044 companies, with a rate of retention of existing companies reached 94%.

And Dubai South stated, in a statement yesterday, in which it announced its achievements last year, that the business complex witnessed the rental of 500 thousand square feet of office space, which represents an increase of 300% compared to 2023.

The Dubai Real Estate Company has completed the first phase of the “Beach Pulse” project, which includes more than 200 units, while preparing to deliver 500 additional units in other stages by the end of the first half of 2025.

To meet the increasing demand for residential apartments in the market, the company also launched the “South Leving” project, which was completely sold, while construction work began in the project after the contractor was appointed.

The James Fawsers School also officially opened its doors last year, receiving more than 500 students.

In addition, an agreement was signed with BT Properties, the largest private real estate developer in Asia, to develop a residential community marked within the golf region in Dubai South.

In turn, the logistical area in Dubai South recorded several achievements last year, which established its vital role in supporting the logistical services sector in the country. Among these achievements is the opening of a regional air center and a modern land for FedEx, and a regional distribution center for Boston Scientific Company. At the “Hilman Caliber Health Care Logistic” facility, in addition to starting a new facility for Danata Logistex.

In cooperation with “Evocaro”, the first phase of self -driving vehicles in the UAE was successfully completed, while the “Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project” was signed several agreements with prominent companies in the aviation sector to enhance their presence in the project.

The CEO of Dubai Air City and Dubai South, Khalifa Al -Zafin, said that “attracting new companies and continuing to record distinguished retaining rates, reflect the confidence that the business community in (Dubai South) puts.”

He added, “Our continuous success in the aviation sectors, logistics and real estate services, enhances our role in supporting the government’s vision, economic diversification strategies and future development plans.”
