Ducab expands its global presence in 20 new markets during 2024


During the past year, the Ducab Group succeeded in expanding its global presence in 20 new major growth markets, bringing the group’s business to 75 countries across the Gulf region, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

Group CEO, Mohammed Al Mutawa, stressed that the year 2024 was full of achievements achieved by Ducab in various manufacturing sectors, which reflects its role as a pivotal partner in the economic development journey in the UAE and the world. He said: “One of the pioneering achievements of the Ducab Group over the past year was the signing of the group, represented by Ducab India, the first partnership agreement with Emirates NBD to support the group’s endeavors to expand its international presence and strengthen the economy of the UAE and India, in line with the country’s strategy. The UAE will continue to diversify its national economy and increase the volume of non-oil trade with its international trading partners.”

Al-Mutawa stated that “Ducab Metals Company”, a subsidiary of the group, acquired last year the international company “GIC Magnet”, the only company that obtained a permit to supply insulated aluminum strips with paper to the American market from the Middle East, noting that “this step comes within the framework of “The company’s strategic efforts to expand its portfolio of solutions and products and expand its geographical scope globally.”

He added: “During 2024, Ducab Metals announced its intention to launch a production line for sustainable green aluminum bars, in line with the mechanism for adjusting carbon limits issued by the European Union, in a step that comes as a continuation of Ducab’s strategy aimed at enhancing sustainability elements in the field of providing aluminum solutions to comply with… With the global green economy approach.”

Al-Mutawa explained that the new product contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emitted from aluminum rod manufacturing operations by the equivalent of half a ton of gas for every ton of aluminum products, in addition to reducing energy consumption levels by 95%, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 97% compared to operational methods. Traditional aluminum raw materials are used.

He pointed out that one of Ducab’s pioneering achievements during the past year was the announcement by Ducab Metals of doubling its production capacity by 100%, to meet the growing global demand for UAE industries, especially aluminum and copper products.
