Emirates announces A380 service to Delhi from October 25, expands Premium Economy

Emirates A380 Delhi: Carrier to Deploy A380 on Delhi Route from 25 October 2026

Emirates to operate A380 on Dubai–Delhi from 25 October 2026; Premium Economy expands to six Indian cities, increasing weekly capacity and traveller options.

Emirates will begin operating its flagship Airbus A380 on the Dubai–Delhi route from 25 October 2026, the carrier announced, marking a major capacity upgrade on one of its busiest India links. The deployment of the A380 on flight pair EK512/513 makes New Delhi the third Indian city to receive regular A380 service after Mumbai and Bengaluru. The move comes alongside a broader product rollout that expands Premium Economy across multiple Indian destinations.

A380 scheduled for EK512/513 starting 25 October 2026

Emirates confirmed the A380 will be assigned to the EK512/513 rotation, operating between Dubai and Indira Gandhi International Airport beginning 25 October 2026. The announcement identifies New Delhi as the next gateway in India to host the airline’s double-decker aircraft on scheduled services. This follows Emirates’ existing A380 deployments to Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Three other daily Delhi services to use updated B777 fleets

The carrier will continue to operate three additional daily frequencies to Delhi using its modernised Boeing 777 fleet configured in four travel classes. Those refreshed B777 aircraft are also fitted with a four-class cabin, ensuring consistent premium product availability across multiple daily departures. Together, the A380 and B777 schedule will provide passengers with a broader range of seating and service options on the Dubai–Delhi sector.

Premium Economy expands to six Indian cities

As part of the changes, Emirates is rolling out its Premium Economy cabin on services to six Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Kochi. The airline said Premium Economy will be available on about half of its weekly scheduled services to India, increasing mid-tier options for long-haul travellers. This expansion reflects Emirates’ wider strategy to offer differentiated cabins that sit between Economy and Business classes.

Weekly frequencies and network reach to India

Emirates currently operates 167 weekly flights to nine major Indian destinations, linking Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram with Dubai. Those services connect Indian travellers to Emirates’ global network of nearly 140 destinations via Dubai. The additional A380 lift and cabin enhancements are intended to improve capacity management during peak travel periods and festival seasons.

Carrier statement and commercial rationale

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the deployment underscores the airline’s continuing commitment to the Indian market. He noted that deploying the A380 to Delhi and expanding Premium Economy are measures designed to enhance the passenger experience and provide more choice for travellers. The commercial rationale centers on matching aircraft type and cabin offer to demand on key city pairs and expanding product parity across the carrier’s India network.

What passengers can expect from the A380 and Premium Economy

Emirates’ A380s on this route will operate in a four-class layout that includes Premium Economy, offering customers more seating and service variety on long-haul flights. The updated B777s will also feature four cabins, ensuring Premium Economy access on multiple daily frequencies. Passengers can expect the carrier’s integrated connectivity via Dubai, allowing smoother onward connections across its global schedule.

Emirates’ decision to place the A380 on the Dubai–Delhi run and broaden Premium Economy availability to six Indian cities will increase capacity and give travellers more mid-market options when planning trips. For customers, the changes mean additional seat inventory on a flagship aircraft type and a clearer set of cabin choices across Emirates’ India services. Overall, the shift is designed to strengthen the carrier’s competitive position on one of its key long-haul markets.
