“Emirates Bicycles” wins the fourth stage of the Paris race


The Emirates XRG team, Joao Almeida, achieved an important victory in his career, as the Portuguese cyclist (26 years), the day before yesterday, managed to win the fourth stage of the Paris -Nice race, which extended from Vichy to Lalog de Gard with a distance of 163.4 km.

The first-class rising road, which is seven kilometers long, formed an ideal square for competition between the most prominent contestants, as the competition caught when the “Vocema-Lab” team, Jonas Viggard, launched a strong attack two kilometers before the finish line, but Almeida responded in his usual way, speeding up within the limited introduction group, maintaining the difference with the Danish in a way 10 seconds.

At the end of 400 meters, Almeida set out from the back, to reduce the difference with Venjegard, before it exceeded it near the finish line, achieving the 16th victory for the UAE -XRG team this season.

Almeida expressed his happiness with this victory, noting that it was a difficult day, as this stage witnessed many events, and there was some snow on the path, but the team did not surrender, pointing out that the rise was not sharp enough, and it was difficult to reduce the size of the group, but he did his best until he won.

Almeida is now fifth in the general classification, 37 seconds from the new race leader, Fenjegard, who won the shirt from his teammate Matteo Yorgenson.
