The Handball Federation has revealed the official calendar of its competitions for the new season 2024-2025, which includes seven tournaments for the men’s stage: five of which are local, and two are external (the UAE-Bahraini Super Cup) and (the UAE-Saudi Super Cup), with the UAE Cup competition set to launch the new season on October 4. The men’s season includes, in addition to the UAE Cup, the UAE Super Cup, the Federation Cup, and the President’s Cup, in addition to the general league, the start date of which has not yet been determined.
The Emirates Cup will be held in three rounds after the nine teams participating in the preliminary round were divided into two groups: the first group included Shabab Al Ahli, Al Ain, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Wasl, and the returning Al Wahda team to the men’s competition, while the second group was limited to four teams: Sharjah, Maliha, Al Jazira, and Al Nasr. The results of the preliminary round will result in the qualification of the leaders and runners-up of the two groups to the semi-final round, which will be held on October 22, after which the two teams in the final match will be determined, which will be held on the 26th of the same month.
