His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Energy Council in Dubai said: “The Emirate of Dubai is keen to see and directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, to support all efforts, initiatives and projects that It enhances development and sustainability, and achieving the global transformation towards the green economy and clean and renewable energy. These future visions support stimulating innovation and honoring leading projects that provide practical solutions to climate challenges. Thanks to its ambitious initiatives, the Emirate of Dubai has become a global model to be followed in the field of clean energy, environmental sustainability and the shift towards the green economy.
His Highness added: «The fifth session of the Emirates Energy Award under its new slogan (promoting carbon neutrality), is consistent with the goals of the UAE to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, and with the efforts of the Emirate of Dubai, which initiates the launch of pioneering projects aimed at converting the emirate into a global clean energy center to achieve Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, and Carbonias 2050 Strategy for the Emirate of Dubai.
His Highness said, “The award represents an important step towards accelerating the efforts to transform into clean and renewable energy, as it attracts an elite group of innovators and experts from different countries of the world to exchange solutions and experiences. The award encourages institutions and individuals to adopt responsible practices that contribute to achieving sustainability, and enhances international cooperation to transform ideas into concrete projects that support sustainable development goals, and guarantee a better future for future generations.
With the closing of the nomination door for the fifth session of it, on the first of March 2025, the award continues to attract qualitative posts for its 10 categories from many countries.
