Emirates NBD enhances awareness of waste management practices in offices


Emirates NBD today announced its cooperation with Rebound, the global leader in promoting circular economy practices to reduce waste through its innovative digital solutions for recyclable materials and specialized consulting services.
This partnership builds on and enhances the Bank’s long-term efforts to encourage a shift towards a more conscious outlook on environmentally friendly practices among its employees and external stakeholders. The initiative includes organizing a series of workshops and webinars, with the aim of increasing participation and awareness.
The bank stated in a statement that it has implemented many initiatives in all its offices, to consolidate its leading position in the field of sustainable banking services, as it is committed to enhancing waste management practices in its offices by improving separation and enhancing recycling rates.
The workshops and webinars organized by Rebound will provide a comprehensive and practical understanding of the principles of the circular economy, highlighting the importance of adopting material recycling and sustainable consumption, as well as best practices in waste management and recycling.
The sessions will be part of Emirates NBD’s efforts to empower employees, entities and external stakeholders with the necessary knowledge, inspiring them to take gradual steps that cumulatively lead to achieving significant environmental contributions that support the circular economy and contribute to the transition to a sustainable future. These sessions will also encourage them to actively participate in reducing waste and recycling, as well as promoting conscious consumption and environmentally friendly behavior whether in the office or at home.
Emirates NBD Group’s Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of Environmental and Social Governance, Vijay Bains, said: “As a socially responsible organization, we are committed to taking important and meaningful steps to reduce our environmental footprint and pioneer a culture of sustainability.”
