Sandooq Al Watan and Emirates NBD signed a memorandum of understanding, according to which the bank’s business incubator will join the national network of business incubators, and it also aims to open new horizons for cooperation between the two sides and exchange experiences.
The Director General of Sandooq Al Watan, Yasser Al Gergawi, who signed the memorandum with the Head of the Digital Innovation and Sustainability Group at Emirates NBD, Hemant Julka, said that the bank, with its extensive experience in the field of entrepreneurship, supporting small and medium enterprises, and supporting the sons and daughters of the Emirates in establishing their own projects. It is considered a major and important addition to the network established by Sandooq Al Watan under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and in cooperation with business incubators in the country. He stressed that Sandooq Al Watan is open to cooperation with various institutions and bodies operating in the country, in the interest of the sons and daughters of the Emirates, in order to achieve its strategic goals.
For his part, Miguel Rio Tinto, Head of Digital Technologies and Information Department for Emirates NBD Group, expressed his happiness in cooperating with Sandooq Al Watan to expand the National Incubator Program for Digital Talents, which was launched by the bank. He said that cooperation with Sandooq Al Watan focuses on developing and strengthening the talent pool for the program, while enhancing the common goal of stimulating innovation and contributing to achieving the UAE’s aspirations for GDP growth.
