«Expo Dubai» concludes the Future Cities Forum with new partnerships


The “Expo Dubai” city concluded the second edition of the Future of Cities Forum, by launching new partnerships and programs that stimulate work on the future of urban development, before the Asian Cities Summit 2025 and the Municipal Presidents Forum, scheduled to be held from 27 to 29 October next.

A statement, issued yesterday, stated that the Dubai Chamber of Commerce signed an agreement with the “Expo Dubai” to become the main partner of the Pacific Cities of Asia and the Pacific, as “Emikol” will be the summit partner. The annual investment forum (AIM) and the United Nations Human Settlements Program and the Union of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry – Dubai Branch, and the Arab City Development Institute, signed related agreements to the summit, which embodies the commitment to work with the “Expo City” to provide a long -term added value to cities and companies Which seeks to trade and invest in the region and abroad.

The city also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Emirates Green Buildings Council to enhance carbon -free practices and materials in the UAE.

This signature comes in the wake of the fulfillment of the “Expo Dubai” city of “LID” and “Will Komionte” criteria recently.

During the forum, the participants have known the opportunities provided by the “Expo Dubai” for innovators and investors in the areas of innovative and sustainable urban development.

The forum gathered more than 500 participants from decision makers and thought leaders from the public and private sectors in a series of dialogues, workshops and discussions, to explore the challenges and opportunities surrounding the future of urban life in the region.

“The Expo Dubai) was based on the basis of enhancing cooperation and joint work to provide a model for sustainable urban development.”

She added: «From (Expo 2020 Dubai) to the 28th Conference (COP28), we have proven that cities can be platforms for work, bringing decision makers together to face global challenges, and contribute to the leadership of urban development and integration of creativity and well -being in all aspects of daily life.

Al -Hashemi continued: “In October this year, we will continue this trip, as we host the Asian and Pacific Cities Summit and the Municipal Presidents Forum, and we will continue to share our experiences and aspirations to accelerate progress towards global goals, to contribute to dialogue on the global agenda and we are active participants in determining the priorities of the work to achieve them.” .
