“Fake massage” ends with indecent assault, blackmail, and forced theft

M.A., a resident of Dubai, found an advertising card for massage centers on top of his car. He did not find it as usual. He hesitated a little before keeping it, after he was tempted by the picture of a sexy girl on the card. On the evening of the same day, he decided to call the number on the card. A person speaking in the Emirati dialect answered him and asked him about his requests. He felt that there was something strange and was cautious in the call, until the speaker on the other end told him that he was from the General Department of Criminal Investigation and Investigations, and a gang had been arrested. These cards promoted concealment of her coercive theft activity.

According to several cases recently monitored by Emirates Today, the trap is not limited to the cards that are affixed to cars in the various emirates of the country, but is currently extending to social media networks, by publishing an exciting picture of women, which arouses the curiosity of the browser, and it opens a conversation via a chat application on the phone number. fixed on the picture, and a woman responds to him, assuring him of her willingness to provide her services in an apartment prepared for this purpose, and she speaks to him on the phone until he reassures her, and he heads directly to the address, only to encounter first that the woman waiting for him is completely different from the one in the picture. When these gangs use pictures of sexy women with European features, the victim finds one or more women with African features waiting for him, accompanied by a number of men. In fact, women’s gangs have begun to master this method, so they attack the victim, tie him up, and photograph him naked, and they are not satisfied with stealing what he has in his possession. Not only money, but they also withdraw his credit or bank balance after forcing him to give them the secret numbers of his bank cards.

For his part, a security source in Dubai Police told Emirates Al-Youm that the police are moving in two main axes, the first is through electronic patrols that monitor the promoters of these propaganda and pursue those behind them, and the second axis is conducting police patrols in all areas of jurisdiction, in charge of arresting the distributors of these cards. On vehicles, checking them, and pursuing those behind them.

The cases monitored by “Emirates Today” included an Asian manager, (67 years old), whose quick adventure led him to a trap set for him by one of these gangs, and ended with two bank cards being stolen from him, and forcing him to give them the passwords, after he was tortured and photographed naked, and his honor was forcibly violated, and he was dragged to… 40,000 dirhams from the two cards, in addition to two phones and a watch worth 4,000 dirhams.

The victim said in the prosecution’s investigations that he was browsing websites, and saw an offer for a massage service in a hotel, and saw a picture of a beautiful girl with European features, so he called a number attached to the advertisement, and it turned out that the site was close to his residence, so he got excited about it, and asked about the girl there. She assured him that she was responsible for providing the service.

He added that he arrived at the appointed time, and called in advance to make sure, and a girl answered him confirming that she was waiting for him, and when he entered, he was surprised by another girl with African features, so he decided to leave quickly, but she did not give him the opportunity, and immediately locked the door, so he told her that she was not the girl he came for and wanted to leave. However, he was surprised by another defendant attacking him from behind and dragging him into the room, then two other people came out and helped pull him, and he was resisting them as much as he could, but he was unable to do anything. They took him into the bathroom, then took his wallet from his pocket, stole the money in it, took his phones and his watch, stripped him of his clothes, then photographed him naked using someone’s phone, and threatened to publish his photos on the Internet if he thought about informing the police, who pursued the accused and arrested them. She referred them to the prosecution, and then to the criminal court.

The most recent case occurred two days ago, and the Public Prosecution in Dubai referred a women’s gang made up of four African women, aged between 28 and 33 years, who, along with other fugitive women, detained an Asian visitor, after luring him to an apartment in Dubai, and they assaulted him and violated his honor by force. After he was forcibly stripped of his clothes, in addition to being robbed.

The victim (24 years old) stated in the police evidence report and the prosecution’s investigations that he found an identification card for a massage center, and he communicated via the “WhatsApp” application with the number recorded on the card, and a woman directed him to a building in the Al-Rifaa area, and when he entered, he was surprised by a group of women. With African features, they attacked him directly, paralyzed him, stripped him of his clothes, photographed him, and stole 4,500 dirhams that were in his pants pocket, then They threatened to publish the pictures if he thought about reporting it to the police, and asked him to leave, after which they fled to an unknown destination.

According to case records, these gangs coercively seized huge sums of money from victims, including an Arab engineer who was lured by a visiting African woman, and stole from him, along with others, about 180,000 dirhams, consisting of 15,000 in cash, and shopping worth 163,000 from a credit card and a phone. An iPhone 7 and a watch, after she seduced him with the image of another sexy woman, beat him up with her partners, and tied him up. They threatened to burn him with a hot iron, and suffocated him until they forced him to reveal the PIN number of his credit card and use it to shop for a large amount. They also photographed him naked, before leaving him in a deplorable state.

The victim stated in the prosecution’s investigations that the gang continued to attack him for about three hours, until he finally relented and gave them the password. One of them came out, took his ID, went to an ATM, and withdrew sums of money amounting to 15 thousand dirhams, then later went to Sharjah and bought… Gold worth 163,790 dirhams, and he remained detained inside the bathroom for 14 hours.

A Gulf man was also robbed and assaulted in the same way, when he went to a massage session, according to his testimony in the investigation report and before the court, by a woman he met through a dating application as well. He was surprised by the presence of another woman, and he in turn informed the police.

According to a security source who reported that the police, for their part, arrested the majority of those involved in these crimes, it is necessary, in return, for members of society to respond to police warnings in this context, and not to succumb to temptations from unknown people, so that they are not vulnerable to theft or assault.

He told Emirates Al-Youm that the Electronic Investigations monitors many of these suspicious activities and, along with the relevant departments in the investigation, pursues the criminals who commit them.

He added that patrols affiliated with police stations in all jurisdictions are responsible for arresting and apprehending anyone who is observed distributing these cards, or placing them in vehicles, pointing out that they are usually concentrated in residential areas, and these people are directly investigated and referred to the competent judicial authorities.

He added that a large number of people who are caught carrying out these actions are violators of residency laws, so they do everything in their power to evade the police, and sometimes they get involved in resisting the authorities, because they realize that their arrest will lead to them being deported from the country after the implementation of the penalties decided by the judiciary regarding them. .

Dubai Courts recorded several cases involving massage card distributors who were involved in resisting the police or offering bribes to its men to release them before referring them to the Public Prosecution.

The security source stressed the necessity of not calling the numbers on those cards, or trying to go to those centers, because they may be a front for coercive theft gangs.

Resisting the police

The Dubai Criminal Court began the trial of an African person who resisted a policeman, after the patrol spotted him distributing massage cards and looking into cars suspiciously. He was suspected of trying to steal vehicles, and when trying to arrest him, he assaulted the policeman, who was forced to seek the help of a support patrol. The accused was chased, arrested, and referred to the competent judicial authorities.

The other also offered a similar amount for his release, and the policeman handed over part of the amount (4,200 dirhams), and they were all referred to the prosecution on charges of offering a bribe and violating the residency laws in the country.

3 men and a woman

A gang of three men and one woman (Africans) lured an Arab sales manager with a picture of a beautiful European girl in the account of one of the social networking sites “Tinder.” They brought him to an apartment, then stole from him an amount of 101 thousand dirhams, which they took from his bank cards and a mobile phone after the attack. On him, and threatened him with a knife.
