The UAE Judo Federation announced yesterday that the preliminary competitions for the Federation Cup Championship will start next Saturday in the Federation’s main hall at its new headquarters in Bani Yas East.
The Federation confirmed, in a press statement, that it decided to close registration for participation in the tournament today, Monday, in preparation for approving the final lists, and that it approved this tournament, which opens the new season of the game, to select “promising talents” for the national teams.
The tournament regulations specified the participation of citizens and residents in the junior category, born in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and those born in 2004, 2005 and 2006 for the youth category. It was also specified that four citizen players participate in each weight from each club, or four citizen players and one resident player in each weight.
