“Football Stars Week in Sharjah 2025” begins on Friday


“Sharjah Football Stars Week 2025” will start next Friday and continue until January 13, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council.

The week – organized by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, with the aim of enhancing the sports tourism scene in the emirate and introducing its destinations and landmarks – includes a group of sporting events.

More than 145 players from more than 27 countries around the world will participate in the activities of the “Sharjah International Football Championship” on the 11th and 12th of this month.

Aljada Sports Stadium, inside which a mini stadium was built to accommodate up to 2,000 spectators, will witness the activities of the second day of “Football Stars Week in Sharjah” on January 11, which will be under the title “Football Stars Night” and include a friendly football match in which 22 players will participate. Among the most prominent international stars and legends of the game, including Francesco Totti, Fabio Cannavaro, Rivaldo, Michael Owen, Papu Gomez, and David Trezeguet, And Essam El-Hadary, in addition to the participation of an Italian football legend, whose name will be announced within days.

On the third day, the “Star Padel Tour” event will be held, where 16 of the most prominent international football stars and legends will compete for the championship on the “padel courts in Aljada.”
