Fujairah Municipality maintains groundwater with new services


The director of the municipality of Fujairah, Eng. Muhammad Al -Afkhal, revealed the creation of new services in the Environmental Protection Department, the most important of which is to enable citizens and residents to request a new well, and to request deepening, cleaning and maintaining an existing well, and requesting the possession of a diesel reservoir for non -commercial purposes, with the aim of regulating the extraction of groundwater and preserving it .

He explained that during the inspection tours, it was revealed that some facilities possess a diesel reservoir for commercial purposes, without obtaining the necessary approvals from the municipality, ignoring the standards and requirements of security, safety and the environment, which poses a threat to the work environment and its workers and the facilities adjacent to them, so the municipality launched a circular to organize the diesel trading process.

He appealed to everyone who has a diesel reservoir to review the Environmental Protection Department to study and evaluate the extent of the facility’s need to possess the diesel tank, pointing out that in terms of services related to the drilling of wells, deepening, cleaning and maintaining well it aims to regulate the extraction of groundwater, drilling, deepening, cleaning, and building a correct database With the sites and coordinates of wells, which contributes to determining the level of groundwater.

He affirmed the municipality’s keenness to facilitate the services provided to customers, so several services were created last year, including the application (IFUJARAH) that provides smart services that enable visitors and residents to enjoy the best tourist places in Fujairah, and includes a list of services and features provided by the latest standards and flexible design.

He pointed to the opening of the second branch of the fast service window (Drisha), which is a window for providing services in an external cabin that relies on providing the service to the customer through the window of his car aimed at serving all categories of customers, especially those with disabilities and the elderly, to save time and space for employees and dealers through Reducing pressure on the main center.
