Godolphin duo seek French Prix du Moulin de Longchamp title

The global Godolphin team is pushing the duo “Notable Speech” and “Tribalist” to compete for the title of the “Prix du Moulin de Longchamp” race, dedicated to first-class horses “Group 1”, over a distance of 1600 meters of grass, and is held today at the famous French “Longchamp” racecourse.

Godolphin is also counting on the undefeated colt Ombedsman, trained by John and Theddie Gosden, to compete for the title of the Prix du Prince d’Orange, which is allocated for horses of the third category (Group 3) over a distance of 2000 metres on turf.

The colt “Notable Speech”, supervised by trainer Charlie Appleby, in the fourth and main round of the ceremony, relies on his explosive abilities that led him to achieve victory in five of his six participations in the world of racing, including two victories in the world’s highest-ranked “Group 1” races, which he began last May with the title of the prestigious “2000 Guineas” in England, followed by the title of the “Sachs Stakes” race at the “Glorious Goodwood” Festival in Britain last July.

Tribaliste, under the supervision of trainer Andre Fabre, is aiming for his first victory in Group 1 races, after achieving five victories in Group 2 races in his career, including his success last May at the Saint-Cloud track in defending his title, and achieving victory for the second year in a row in the French Prix de Mouget race.

Ombudsman is making his first appearance in a top-class race, having won three consecutive races, two of them for novices at Newmarket and Leicester, before taking an easy win in the Prix Nureyev for the Listed category, which took place last August at Deauville in France.
