Great response from the industrial sector to reduce emissions


Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology for the Industrial Development Sector, Salama Al-Awadhi, said that since the Ministry launched the road map related to sustainability, it has received a great response from the industrial sector with regard to reducing harmful emissions to the environment and applying the foundations of sustainability through continuous cooperation with factory owners.

Al-Awadhi added to Emirates Today that many initiatives have also been launched inside and outside the country to reduce emissions in the industrial sector around the world in selected destinations and in cooperation with partners and relevant international organizations.

She pointed out that the UAE participates in financing projects adopted by international organizations to reduce emissions and implement sustainability frameworks in various fields.

She said: “We also have an important announcement regarding cooperation between factories and companies specialized in technology to reduce harmful emissions.
