The center indicated that the region will also be affected during this month by a number of surface depressions passing from west to east, and at other times they will be affected by an extension of the Red Sea depression, and sometimes these depressions are accompanied by an extension of an upper air depression, which leads to a multiplication of clouds over the country on some days. He pointed out that the rainfall forecast for the month of January will be around the general average, pointing out that the average rainfall in the country is 11.5 mm. The country also witnesses activity during this month with northwesterly winds, sometimes called north winds, which raise sand and dust in the interior and exposed areas.

Winds also cause sea waves to rise in the Arabian Gulf, while relative humidity increases, especially in the early morning, which creates the opportunity for fog and light fog to form, and the incidence of fog increases in inland areas more than in coastal areas.
