Abu Dhabi Police explained, through its official account on the social networking site “Twitter”, that Law No. (5) of 2020 AD regarding the impoundment of vehicles in Abu Dhabi stipulates that the violation of a vehicle exceeding a red light is 1,000 dirhams, 12 traffic points, the vehicle impoundment is for 30 days, and the financial value of releasing the impoundment. The vehicle is 50,000 dirhams, in addition to the withdrawal of the violating driver’s driving license for a period of 6 months.
