MOD Academy wins Dubai International Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship


The Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Professional League (AJP) Dubai International Championship, organized by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Professional League (AJP), concluded yesterday evening at the Shabab Al Ahli Club in Dubai. The final day witnessed competitions for the professional and amateur categories, with the participation of 310 male and female players amidst a large audience.

The results of the final day of the tournament resulted in the crowning of the MOD Academy team as champion, the Commando Group Academy team as runner-up, and the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club in third place.

The third day’s competitions were attended by Yousef Al Batran, Board Member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the Federation, and Ali Al Balushi, Director of Sports Events at the Dubai Sports Council. This year’s edition of the championship witnessed the participation of 74 clubs and academies from around the world over the course of its three days, a significant increase over last year’s edition, which saw the participation of 64 clubs and academies.
