She added: “After a long period of research, his family was contacted to arrange the celebration, and they went to him, accompanied by a number of volunteers from the (Love the Emirates) group, and presented the state flag to him, as a celebration by the group of the oldest person in the country, as part of the celebration of the 46th National Day of the Emirates,” noting that “This event is the first of its kind for the volunteer team, and is for the elderly segment, and aims to share with them the joys of the state.”
Ahmed Al-Shamili, the grandson of Al-Muammar, praised the initiative of the “Love Emirates” group for volunteer work, and said: “This initiative comes to confirm that the people of the Emirates are always keen to celebrate parents and grandparents, and communicate with the elderly, especially the segment of the first who accompanied the time of the Union, especially my grandfather, who He lived through the period many years before the unification of the state, and he lived through a large stage after the founding.
He concluded: “We hope to repeat such initiatives, which give the new generation the opportunity to learn about the historical heritage preserved by the elderly.”
