Athletes confirmed that the game of the wheelchair basketball was elevated thanks to the Ramadan “Nad Al -Sheba” sports course, which contributed to providing moral and technical support to the category of determination, by organizing their own competitions according to the highest and finest standards, which developed from the performance of the national team for the game.

They told «Emirates Today»: “The Nad Al -Sheba course has become a comprehensive sports platform that brings together athletes from various games, including those with determination and various segments of society, to provide them with the opportunity to practice sports during the month of Ramadan, and to devote the concept of sport a lifestyle.”

For his part, the national team player and trust club for the disabled, Tariq Al -Yassi, said that “Nad Al -Sheba tournament is one of the championships that raise the level of the national team players, thanks to allowing the participation of professional players in the championship, which contributed to the development of the level of our players, and increased the strength of the competition in a great way between the participating teams.”

He added: “The idea of ​​using the foreign player was very correct, and opened channels to exchange experiences and cultures between the UAE players and their peers from the players of countries who are called to participate in the tournament teams as professional players.”

Al -Yassi pointed out that «there are many countries that have begun to apply the idea of ​​Nad Al -Sheba, by mixing the owners of determination with healthy people in one competition, to enhance the spirit of interaction and positivity between all members of society.

The Egyptian professional, Majdi Talaat, stressed that one of the most prominent of what Nad Al -Sheba course offers contributes to raising the morale of the group of people of determination, and notifying everyone that they are concerned with all levels, including the sports side.

He said: «This is the second time that I participated in the Nad Al -Sheba course, as I attended for the first time in the past year, and indeed the championship and its competitiveness remains stuck in the minds, in addition to that it contributes to the development of the technical and physical level of the participating players, especially since this time of the year in which competitions in most Arab countries stop because of the holy month.

In turn, the international basketball ruling, Yaqoub Ghabb, stressed that “the basketball game on the wheelchairs in the Nad Al -Sheba tournament showed the strength, persistence and determination of a group of men who deal with sports competitions with the utmost seriousness and determination, which may not be available in matches that I participate in its management at the level of health.”
