Nothing compensates Al -Ahly youth for the Asian exit

The Vice -Chairman of the Al -Ahly Football Company, Abdul Majeed Hussein, confirmed that the “Dubai Knights” victory over Sharjah and the qualification for the final match in the Professional League Cup (Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup), does not compete with the exit from the “AFC Champions League 2” championship.

He told «Emirates Today»: “qualification was difficult at the expense of the Sharjah team, which is a great opponent, and he presented great matches this season, and I think that the two teams were worthy of reaching the final match, but football is always one winner of the match and also the title, and we have overcome the obstacle of Sharjah, but there are still very strong matches in the season, and they must be prepared well during the coming period.”

The youth of Al-Ahly tied with its guest Sharjah 2-2 in the second leg of the semi-finals of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup (won 3-1 back), in a match that witnessed three penalty strikes, to climb “Dubai Knights” to the final match with his superiority in the total of the two games 5-3.

On the upcoming confrontation with Sharjah in the ADNOC Professional League, he said: “It will be difficult and exhausting, especially for players and coaches, it is not easy to play five confrontations against the Sharjah team in about 25 days, the two teams are the best and strongest in the league this year, and the match will be like the rest of the previous four matches, and I think that the match will not be easy for the two teams, and, God willing, we are ready for the match.”
