The young citizen, Omar Ali Al-Maliki (22 years old), a student at the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom, chose “Mathematics and Physical Sciences” as an academic major, in his first university station, due to the small number of specialists in this field, as he says, “which prevents the investment of great capabilities.” These sciences help in promoting and developing various sectors, such as energy and space.”
Al-Maliki added that he intends to work, with the help of a colleague, to revive a theory dating back to the beginning of the last century, that is, about 100 years, that confirms the connection between the sciences of geometry and algebra, taking advantage of the enormous potential offered by “artificial intelligence.”
The student on scholarship from the Ministry of Education explained: “I would like to work on developing (algorithms) that represent a set of sequential mathematical steps, using my knowledge and experience in mathematics. I also seek to employ artificial intelligence in it, which qualifies me to achieve my future ambition in my second academic station, which is to study (quantum cryptography), in an effort to participate in creating a strong electronic security system in the country that protects us from electronic hacks,” indicating that “quantum cryptography” A type of encryption that a quantum computer cannot break.
Regarding the experience of exile, which he hopes to go through again to continue his graduate studies, Al-Maliki confirmed that “it was very difficult,” but he succeeded little by little in accepting it, adapting to it, and integrating into it, when he considered it a transit station to reach what he aspires to. “The main goal of it is my return to the land of The nation is armed with science and knowledge, to serve it.”
He added, “Exile was the greatest teacher. I succeeded in forming diverse friendships with people of different nationalities, which made me realize that the world is a small village whose members must coexist and adapt, despite their intellectual and cultural differences. Exile also taught me to be keen to participate in various events and to be an active element in them. Accordingly, I volunteered to teach advanced sciences to a child with special needs, in response to a request from his family. She also participated in activities organized by the UAE Embassy in the British capital, London, including the activities of the Emirates Global Youth Forum, which was launched last February, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, with the participation of 20 Emirati ministers and officials. In which he announced the launch of the International Youth Council in the United Kingdom.
Al-Maliki continued: “I was very pleased to meet His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, last September, when His Highness inaugurated (the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Hall for Europe and the Middle East) at the British Museum in London, in appreciation of the efforts of the late founding father. During the few free times that Al-Maliki finds, he is keen to practice his hobbies, which vary between reading, which he finds himself in, and the hobby of paragliding, which gives him a great sense of vitality and enthusiasm.
