Platini and Balater acquitted in a corruption case

Yesterday, the former Swiss Court of Appeals acquitted the former President of the European Football Association (Wiviva), Michel Platini, and former President of the International Federation (FIFA), Swiss Joseph Seib Blatter, again in a corruption case.

As in the first case in 2022, the extraordinary courts of the Federal Criminal Court held in Motations (northwest) did not respond to the prosecution, who, at the beginning of March, demanded that each of the defendants be imprisoned for 20 months with suspended execution, and Platini (69 years old), who won the Golden Ball for the best European player three times, said while leaving: “I have prepared my honor, and now the persecution that continued 10 years before (FIFA) and a few Swiss federal prosecutors. ”
