Today, the First Division Football League kicks off with the participation of 15 teams, including five teams that have previously played in the ADNOC Professional League, namely: Emirates, Hatta, Al Dhafra, Dibba Al Fujairah and Fujairah, and the same number of company teams, namely: Gulf FC, Majd, Gulf United, Fleetwood and United, and five teams that have never been promoted to the professional league, namely: Al Arabi, Al Hamriya, Al Dhaid, Al Jazirah Al Hamra and Masfout.
The kick-off will be between Al Dhaid and Gulf United at 5:35 pm, and Al Dhafra and its guest Gulf FC at 5:45 pm, while the match between Majd and Fleetwood has been postponed to another date.
The matches will be completed tomorrow with four matches, as Dibba meets Al Hamriyah, Hatta meets Fujairah, Masfout meets Emirates, and Al Arabi meets United.
Last season, Al-Orouba and Dibba Al-Hisn teams were promoted from the first division to the professionals, while Emirates and Hatta teams were relegated to the “amateurs”. In contrast, Fleetwood and Majd teams were promoted from the second division to the first division, and City and Al-Rams teams were relegated to the second division.
