Saudi Arabia is ready to organize the World Cup with 64 teams

The Saudi Sports Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al -Faisal, said that the Kingdom will be ready to host the 2034 World Cup with the participation of 64 teams, if the International Federation (FIFA) agrees on a controversial proposal, by expanding the championship from 48 teams, and the South American Federation officially proposed the establishment of the World Cup 2030 in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, with the participation of 64 teams, but some continental federations opposed the idea, and 48 teams will participate in The next year championship, which is hosted by America, Canada and Mexico, up from 32 teams in 2022. Al -Faisal stated that his country will not mind increasing the number of teams participating in 2034, and said: “We will be ready if this is a decision that (FIFA) and sees it is a good decision for everyone, and we will be very happy to implement it.”
