Sharjah trains developers on Aqari platform to accelerate digital real estate services

Sharjah’s Real Estate Registration Department and Sharjah Digital trained developers on the Aqari platform to streamline services and enhance sector efficiency.

The Real Estate Registration Department in Sharjah, in collaboration with the Sharjah Digital Department, organised a specialised workshop to train property developers on the Aqari platform. The session demonstrated the platform’s services and practical workflows to improve the emirate’s digital real estate capabilities. Officials said the move is part of a broader drive to modernise procedures, reduce processing times and support investment in Sharjah’s property sector.

Sharjah hosts targeted developer workshop

The workshop took place at the premises of the Real Estate Registration Department and brought together more than 60 professionals from across the property industry. Participants included developers, registry staff and other sector stakeholders who took part in hands-on demonstrations and guided tutorials. The event aimed to build a common baseline of knowledge about the Aqari platform and to encourage consistent adoption across projects and firms.

Training curriculum emphasised Aqari platform functionality

Trainers reviewed the key modules of the Aqari platform, including submission workflows, document handling and user account management. Sessions focused on practical use cases to show how the platform can be used to register projects, submit approvals and track applications online. Attendees received step-by-step guidance on reducing administrative bottlenecks and ensuring compliance with registration requirements.

More than 60 participants engaged in practical sessions

Organisers said the turnout reflected broad interest across the local real estate ecosystem in digital tools that simplify transactions. Small and medium developers joined larger firms to compare processes and exchange best practices during breakout exercises. The interactive format allowed developers to test features, raise questions and provide immediate feedback to platform representatives.

Officials underscore link between digital tools and sector competitiveness

Obaid Al Mazloum, Director of the Real Estate Project Regulation at the Real Estate Registration Department, said the workshop aligns with the department’s strategic priorities. He explained that equipping developers with digital skills and access to modern tools improves performance and strengthens the emirate’s investment environment. According to Al Mazloum, digital enablement is a key pillar in enhancing transparency and operational efficiency within Sharjah’s property market.

Aqari platform aims to simplify procedures and improve user experience

Presenters highlighted several user-centred improvements that the Aqari platform introduces, such as consolidated application tracking and reduced paperwork. The platform is positioned to shorten turnaround times by routing submissions electronically and enabling simultaneous review by relevant authorities. Organisers emphasised that improving the user journey for developers and investors is central to raising overall sector productivity.

Plans for follow-up training and wider rollout

Department officials said the workshop will be followed by additional training sessions and targeted support for firms implementing the platform across multiple projects. There are plans to develop tailored modules for different user groups, including smaller developers and administrative staff, to ensure consistent standards of use. Collaboration with Sharjah Digital is expected to expand integration with other government services over time.

The workshop reflects Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to promote a digital real estate culture and to modernise regulatory procedures. By providing hands-on training and direct access to platform experts, the Real Estate Registration Department and Sharjah Digital aim to accelerate adoption of Aqari across the emirate. Attendees left the session with clearer guidance on platform capabilities and a roadmap for applying digital processes to everyday property transactions.
