Specialists in Egyptian speech centers praise the positive effects of “Jusoor Amal Holding”

Specialists at communication and skills development centers in youth centers in the Egyptian governorates praised the positive effects achieved by the “Jousours of Hope Holding” program in the lives of people with abilities and determination and their families.

Dr. Mona Othman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Dakahlia Governorate, said in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, at the Qulnajil Youth Centre, that the UAE’s efforts to support the implementation of the “Jousours of Hope Holding” program have achieved important results, as the cases benefiting from the program’s services have improved significantly over a period of time. Standard, thanks to the support that included providing all capabilities to receive cases residing in simple places, such as the most needy villages, so that children and their families receive free services that relieve them of financial burdens.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Sabrout, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Giza, pointed out in statements to “WAM” the positive change that the project has achieved in the lives of many families of people of determination, praising the UAE’s support for the “Jousours of Amal Holding” program, and the increased spread of centers and services in every country. For her part, Faten Salem, a speech specialist at the Al-Arish City Youth Center, said that the program implemented by the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports is sponsored by the Holding Company.It contributed to providing services and resources to specialists in speech and skills development centers, which enable them to develop cases of people with abilities and disabilities, including those who suffer from speech problems, pointing out that this support contributed greatly to helping cases of linguistic delay and environmental deprivation to become their children thanks to these tools. They are able to speak and interact with their environment, and they have a linguistic memory that enables them to communicate with their community

She stressed the importance of the cooperation protocol between Zayed Higher Education and the Ministry of Youth, sponsored by the Holding Companywhich contributed to harnessing all resources to treat the cases

For her part, May Yasser, a skills development specialist in the communication centers, said that among the cases she treats are children who are weak in the cognitive aspect, and the Portage program is applied to them, which is an educational program that helps in developing skills, and the objectives of this program are applied according to the age stage of the target groups.

She added that after the diagnosis, special programs are designed to suit each case, pointing out that cases of cerebral palsy associated with another type of disability, as well as autism, are among the most challenging, but with continued sessions, their severity can be alleviated, even if they continue for a long time.

She stated that the cases they receive, as specialists at the “Qaderoon Center with Differences,” reach approximately 140 to 150 cases per month, ranging in age from 4 to 18 years.

Iman Reda, a speech pathologist, explained that the cases received by the Qaderoon Center suffer from hearing loss, cochlear implants, mental disabilities, and speech problems, pointing out that among the challenges she faced was a case of cerebral palsy, which benefited from the sessions in just one year, and there are other cases that improve from the session. For her part, Fatima Taher Abdel Aziz, a specialist for people with special needs at the Kom El-Atroun Youth Center in Qalyubia, explained that the center is witnessing a great demand for services and cases are improving significantly.

Specialist Taqa Salah Muhammad Jbeil from the Ashmoun Youth Center in Menoufia said that she deals with cases of communication and skill development at the same time, and the cases of recovery occur thanks to the awareness that has become noticeable among families to follow up on their children’s cases and their cooperation with specialists.
