He added that there is an opportunity to see the star of Suhail in southern Yemen with the beginning of August, in Dhofar and Asir during the first week of August, in Amman in mid -August, and in the center of the Arabian Peninsula during the third week of August, while the north of the Arabian Peninsula can be seen starting from the fourth week of August And in the Levant and Iraq during the first half of September.

He pointed out that the sons of the Arabian Peninsula have taken care of from ancient times the outlets of the stars, looking at them and knowing their homes, because they are linked to their daily lives in the day and night, they know through them the entry of the seasons of the year and the times of rain, and the times of cold and free, and through the calculation of the stars know the people of the villages and peasants when they plow their lands And when they sow in preparation for the rain, and the people of righteousness know the seasons of grazing and travel, and the people of the sea know the seasons of marine fishing and travel.

And they called the star of Suhail, several names, they call it the star of Yemen and Sahil al -Yamani also, and the reason for its attribution to Yemen is that it comes out from the south and appears in exchange for the Northern Polat star, as it refers to the south, while the South Pole itself does not appear in the sky of the Emirates, and on all There is no yoke star indicating the direction of the southern star as in the Arctic.

He stated that the star of Suhail, has been known by the Arabs since ancient times, and had a presence in their poems, novels and examples, as he was considered part of their cultural heritage their climate and astronomical awareness, where they calculated through it, the date of breaking the intensity of the heat and changing the climate towards moderation, and natural changes that occur in the wild trees Wild animals.

He explained that Suhail is a brilliant star of the first fate (the destiny of the visible stars is divided into six fate, which the stars were shown from the first amount and hide them from the sixth destiny), the second brightest stars of the sky after the Yemeni poetry. Nearly 313 light years are from the ground.
