The Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) signed a new agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for thermal systems to supply special cooling devices for Empower stations, with a cooling capacity of up to 100,000 refrigeration tons, with 56,250 refrigeration tons to be supplied from Through 18 advanced units of water-cooled centrifugal chillers, starting in 2025, with advanced technologies with high energy efficiency, to serve its projects located in Deira Waterfront, Jumeirah Village, and Al Sufouh.

“Empower” stated, in a statement yesterday, that its CEO, Ahmed Bin Shafar, and the president of “Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for Thermal Systems”, Yoshihiro Ito, signed the agreement, which also included a clause allowing “Empower” to submit requests for additional units for its stations until the end of December 2024. , reaching a total cooling capacity of 100 thousand refrigeration tons.

“Empower” explained that the new deal is the second of its kind between the two sides, as “Empower” had signed a deal during late 2021 with “Mitsubishi Heavy Industries” for thermal systems, stipulating that the company would provide “Empower” with advanced units of exhaust chillers. Water-cooled central, with a total cooling capacity of 100,000 refrigeration tons, which was supplied during the years 2022 and 2023 and was installed in stations: Zabeel, Dubailand Residential Complex, Jumeirah Beach Hills station, and Station 5 in Business Bay.
