Tonight is the curtain on the 12th edition of the “Nad Al -Sheba Sports Course”, the largest sporting event of its kind, which was launched and sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and is held annually during the holy month of Ramadan in the Nad Al -Sheba Sports Complex, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, with the slogan of “unlimited capabilities.”
About 8000 athletes and sports from various categories participated in 11 games included in the current version of the tournament, namely the volleyball, Al -Badel, Jogitsu, Fencing, Basketball with wheelchairs, running race, cyclist race, rope tightening, challenging barriers, in addition to two new sports, flying feather, archery with running «Laser Run».
The conclusion of the tournament will be with the final match of the volleyball championship, which will bring together the “Tadawi 1” team with the “Al -Hilal” team in the main hall of Nad Al -Sheba Sports Complex.
The “Tadawi 1” team includes the players of the Russian Dinamo team that won the European Union Cup for volleyball four times, the Russian Soviet Union for volleyball, nine times, the Russian Soviet Union Cup six times, and the Russian Super Cup four times, while the Al -Hilal team consists of the Italian team of the Italian league, the Italian League and the Italian Super League.
The “Tadawi 1” team qualified for the final after its victory over the heavenly team, which includes the players of the Emirati Bani Yas team, in the semi-final match that ended with a score of 3-0, while Al-Hilal team qualified after defeating the Dean’s team 3-1.
The semi -final competitions were attended by the President of the Volleyball Federation Abdullah Al -Darmaki, and the President of the Russian Volleyball Federation Stanislav Shevchenko, who in turn praised the idea of holding a group that includes many sports for young people and sects to enjoy.
He said in press statements: “The Nad Al -Sheba course reflected the position of sport in Dubai and showed the development of sports infrastructure, as it contributes to developing sports talents in various games, and this reflects the extent of efforts made by the organizing committee to receive more than 8,000 athletes over 20 days to compete in more than one sporting demonstration.”

The National Guard team won for the second year in a row the title of the cord tightening championship, which brought the curtain to its competition the day before yesterday.
The competitions were attended and the winners of the first places were crowned by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Vice President of the International Federation of the Emirates for Body Building and Fitness, Director of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Defense, Major General Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli, Assistant Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, Nasser Aman Al Rahma, and the director of the session, Hassan Al Mazrouei.
The National Guard team won the title of the Cord Lifetime Championship in the category of government departments and institutions, after its victory over the Ministry of Defense team, which came in second place after exciting and equal competitions that witnessed a club and strength in performance, and it won great follow-up and encouragement and the final match ended 2-1, while the ground forces team won the third place after defeating the civil defense team-Ras Al Khaimah with a score of 2-0.
In the junior category, the Sharjah Club of Merciful Sports Club won the first place after defeating the Sharjah Sports Council team 2-1, and the 25 Jim team won the third place after beating the Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences team 2-0.
The Trus General Trading Team won the first place in the community category, after defeating the storm team, which came second with a score of 2-0, and the Al-Kawasir team won the third place after beating the IPB Academy team with a score of 2-0.
