The German company “Bosch” revealed a new technology to prevent the theft of electric bicycle batteries, during its participation in the activities of the “CES” electronics exhibition in the American city of Las Vegas, which concludes its activities today.

The company explained that activating the digital security solution (Battery Lock) disables the battery once the engine management system is stopped, so that if the thief breaks the mechanical lock of the disabled battery and installs the stolen battery in another electric bike, the engine support will be disabled, and the entire electric bike will be invalid. To use.

She pointed out that to activate the new function in daily life, different digital keys are available. In addition to the smartphone with the “Flow” application, the “Kiox 300” or “Kiox 500” screens can also be used as digital keys.

The new technology also protects the additional range extender batteries installed on the bike.
